Das sind ausgezeichnete Neuigkeiten. Ich bin mir sicher, da werden sich Horden von von Entwicklern draufstürzen.
Wenn dann die erste freie Engine steht, die sich auch auf mehrern Plattformen compilieren läßt -- schließlich hat es bei quake3 auch etwas gedauert --
Werden die sich die großen Total Conversion Mod Teams dran setzen und es hagelt viele freie Standalone Games.
Doch halt! wenn man genau schaut, gibt es gar nicht so viele Mods für Doom3. Bei quake3 gab und gibt es Dutzende. Doch wirklich bis zum Endprodukt fällt mir nur WoP ein. Hat jemand noch Hinweise?
Gibt es Kandidaten für Doom3 Mods, die es schaffen könnten? Quake4, das ja die doom3 Engine benutzt hat auch nicht so viele Mods. Oder bin ich nur schlecht informiert?

Also für Quake3 gibt es genug: „Mods range from small gameplay adjustments like Rocket Arena 3 and Orange Smoothie Productions to total conversions such as Smokin' Guns and DeFRaG. Tremulous und Urban Terror habe ich selbst sehr viel gespielt und die sind wirklich genial.
